Eczema.

For those who suffer from the itching, redness, inflammation, scaling, (sometimes weeping and crusting), and often unsightly rash caused by this ailment affecting the body’s large organ…you know the struggles that come from trying to manage it.

Suffering from eczema?
Sensitive to super pricey pharmaceutical eczema creams?

Ready for an all-natural alternative that works?

Try this easy-to-follow recipe for my Eczema Soothing Lotion Bar to help you relieve the symptoms from your eczema!

Eczema Soothing Lotion Bar

Ingredients

  • 2 oz beeswax, grated or coarsely chopped
  • 1 oz rosehip seed oil
  • 1 oz evening primrose oil
  • 2 oz kokum butter
  • 1/2 teaspoons non-GMO vitamin E oil
  • 20 drops ylang ylang essential oil
  • 10 drops blue yarrow essential oil
  • 10 drops myrrh essential oil
  • 5 drops roman chamomile essential oil

Method

  1. Melt grated beeswax, rosehip seed oil, and kokum butter over double boiler — or in a small pot — using very low heat.
  2. Remove from heat.
  3. Add evening primrose oil and vitamin E oil to the mixture. Stir until well combined.
  4. Stir in essential oils.
  5. Pour into molds.
  6. Cool. Label. Store in a cool, dark place. Will keep for 1-2 years.

Purchase these molds online by clicking this link. They make the perfect size lotion bar to fit a one ounce tin. Great for portability and ease of use.

Notes

Unlike conventional creams and lotions — this product is non-greasy, non-sticky, and leaves no mess behind.

TO USE :: Simply rub the bar against the affected skin areas and enjoy the soothing relief! Apply as often as needed — and at least 4-6 times a day. It may require a week to tens days of consistent use until complete relief and healing is noted.

do these molds need to be greased first with this recipe?

Hi Donna! Great question:) These molds work perfectly without being greased. Once hardened, they slip right out.

If purchasing different molds, what material do I need to purchase for the molds?

These look great! I will be making them next week. I love eczema salve. I will have to see if I love this just as much!

Andrea, these look awesome. About the Ylang ylang, although it smells exquisite to me, my adult son is not a fan of the floral/perfume aroma. Is there another essential oil that can be substituted? Thank you for all your wonderful recipes

I wanted to know if I truly have to use the beeswax. My daughter is always on the move so I wonder if not using the beeswax would make it like a cream or paste. And she could just rub all over through out the day.

Hi! Is evening primrose more important to the effectiveness of this recipe than, say, rosehip seed oil? Or are both absolutely necessary? Also, can cocoa butter be used instead of kokum?

Is there a specific location to find the answers to the above questions, or do they go unanswered?
