Giveaway: VitaClay® Smart Organic Multicooker

VitaClay Giveaway: Enter to win the only organic slow cooker at Frugally Sustainable! $159 Value!

Two things I highly value…one, my time; two, preparing nutritionally dense, toxin-free foods for my family.

Those two things haven’t always come together in balance.

That was until I discovered the VitaClay® Smart Organic Multicooker.

I’m in love I tell you!

Here at the ranch, LOTS of my time and energy goes into chemical-free, preservative-free food production. Whether it’s growing fruits & vegetables, sourcing quality bulk items, tending to soil, composting, raising pastured chickens, milking goats, and/or gathering eggs…

…I need to know my efforts aren’t being thwarted by toxic cookware.

Insert VitaClay®!

This thing is AWESOME! It is a…

  • slow cooker
  • rice cooker
  • steamer
  • plus bonus yogurt maker

…all in one!

Each clay-cooking bowl is always made of natural, unglazed, Zisha clay, which enhances flavor and preserves nutrients, enzymes and vitamins. It’s free of any non-stick glazes: no chemicals or aluminum come in contact with your food.

The VitaClay® Smart Organic Multicooker is super convenient and fully programmable, thanks to innovative computerized clay heating technology (ancient cooking vessel meets modern society). The all-natural clay-cooking bowl promotes uniform cooking, and the double-lid design not only creates micro-pressure to maximize tender and flavorful food, but cuts slow cooking energy and time in half!

Whole meals and side dishes can be made in as little as 30 minutes from scratch.

  1. This looks perfect for a beginner household, just because it can be used for so many different things. I don’t like uni-tasker so this seems great!

  2. Finally! A slow cooker that is not toxic, or made with toxic materials. This does look interesting. I think making yogurt in this would be wonderful.

  3. I had a VitaClay cooker & it was fantastic… until I dropped the clay crock. Would LOVE to replace it. Thanks for this offer!

  4. Toxin free?, as opposed to what? Looks like a handy little cooker though.

    • Most slow cookers/crockpots are Teflon coated or have a finish that contains lead and other toxins. Cooking in them creates the potential transfer of chemicals and metals into the food. Note: Hamilton Beach Slow Cookers are also respected as safe.

  5. Sounds fantastic! Thank you for the giveaway!

  6. Trying to cook more naturally and this would a great help!

  7. Rebekah Stull says:

I’m slowly trying to weed out toxins. I didn’t even think about these toxins.

  8. I don’t own a slow cooker because I cannot taste any individual foods. To me the textures of the food feels all wrong. Also, I’d rather not run it all day. So in your opinion is it just like a slow cooker? Or is there a difference in taste and do the foods retain their natural texture. Are most recipes 45 min or less? I sure would like to make yogurt in it.

    • I agree with you CTY! That is one thing about a traditional slow cooker…there were certain foods/meals that I wouldn’t prepare because of the how they turned out. So to answer your question, my family and I can tell a HUGE difference in the taste and texture of the foods cooked in the VitaClay. They don’t taste/feel like they’ve been cooked to death. And YES cooking times are approx. 30-60 minutes on average!

  9. I love that it retains vitamins and minerals and cooks so quickly! This is a product I am really excited about thanks for sharing!

  10. I think the flavor improvement and the benefits of the natural clay are great.

  49. I LOVE this! I try as much as possible to cook organic, GMO free and non-toxic, often using cast iron on stove top and oven and even though I use a regular crock pot at times, am not crazy about having to do so with a highly polished and glazed porcelain surface. I would LOVE to win this!!!!

  50. I would love to win this.

  51. toxin free!! Would love it!

  52. I’m sorry to be a “naysayer”, but, are you so certain it is “toxin free”? Where was it made? If it was made in China, it is highly likely that it is not what you think it is. I don’t use anything made in China, I don’t serve anything made in China, and I don’t use dishes or cookware made in China. There is a reason for my “anti-China” anything position, and it’s not politics.

    • I don’t consider you a “naysayer” Carol2! We all have opinions and convictions we are passionate about. I totally respect your perspective…this is a safe place, thank you for being respectful in sharing your views 🙂

  53. I’m trying to return to work. When I do, it will be a blessing to have a tool that helps me cook my family healthy food.

  54. We are really working to lead a more healthful lifestyle. We’ve moved away from buying pans w/coatings, etc. This would be a great addition. Thanks for the opportunity.

  55. I have a large family and do LOTS of cooking. I own a steamer, 4 crock pots, a rice cooker and a yogurt maker, none of which are in great working order. I’ve had them for a loooong time. They are bulky and hard to store in my smaller kitchen. This all in one item would be GREAT! I love the fact that it’s chemical free. I too work hard to bring good, toxin free food to my table. I never really give thought to the fact that it could be ruined in the preparation. Thanks for bringing this product to everyone’s attention.

  56. Thank you for introducing us to this great piece of kitchen equipment! I am impressed by how fast it cooks, along with all of the different types of food it can prepare – while being a toxin-free cooking vessel too! Doesn’t get better than that in the kitchen. 🙂

  62. Julie Dodson says:

Can’t wait to check out the VitaClay!

  63. I’m always interested in preparing healthy meals for my large family, but it isn’t always easy to make that happen between homeschooling, kids’ activities, trying to keep order in the house, making sure our toddler doesn’t destroy things behind us, etc. I often end up at 5:00 wondering what I’m going to make for dinner. I do try to keep a good selection of basics around so I can throw something together, but it’s always tempting to keep some quick but less healthy options around for those times. A tool like this could be a big help in keeping us on track!

  64. This looks like a fascinating alternative to my rice cooker, crockpot – would be great to replace them both with one single appliance.

  219. This looks like a wonderful, versatile product. My daughter recently started a gluten-free diet and the best “side-effect” is that she is now being very conscious of what she eats and loves trying out new recipes. Since she cooks many of her own meals now, this would be a real help.

  227. What an amazing little gadget! I have tried several of your recipes for health & beauty and also some recipes for dinner. I must say, I LOVE them! Would love to win this to continue on my journey to a healthier lifestyle!

  228. I’m so excited about this cooker!! My husband wants rice nearly every day. So I’m replacing my rice cookers a couple times a year because I can’t stand using them once the “non-stick” coating gets scratched or starts to wear. It gets hard to cook healthy toxin, gmo and artificial additive free foods daily. So a cooker like this is invaluable! Thank you

  229. This is just what I have been looking for in an appliance. I am trying to lead a healthier lifestyle and I know I will use this often.

  230. Cynthia Hutchinson says:

    Super cool!

  249. I love this item! I avoid toxins where ever I can and this will be one more tool in my tool kit!

  250. Thanks for bringing this cool product to our attention and for offering the give-away! I love my pressure cooker for fast, healthy meals but gave away my crockpot since we felt it over cooked our food. We eat mostly vegan. Our rice cooker is on its last leg, so a product that does double duty while being toxin free is very appealing.

  251. Oh My!!! Talk about endless possibilities! I would use the heck out of this Vita Clay cooker – finger crossed!

  252. The Vita-Clay Slow Cooker looks like an easy way to prepare the vegetables I’ve worked so hard to ensure they are chemical free.

  254. Looks handy to have in the kitchen. Thanks the contest!

  255. As I’ve become more aware of toxic cookware I’ve pretty much been cooking most things in my little cast iron skillet and stir fry pan and the rest with bakeware. Would love to accumulate more excellent cookware, especially since I cook every meal from whole foods. And I love to share, the more the merrier! 🙂

  256. This is great. I honestly never thought about the chemical or toxins that could affect my family from the cookware I use. I must have this. And the bonus, multiple uses.

  257. The variety of dishes you can make with it sounds great. More than just a slow cooker.

  258. Pamela Adamson says:

Looks like a great way to cook healthy.

Negative: why do I need to go to the bottom of all post to comment?
    Kinda lame. .

  259. Slow cookers have really helped me give my family better food in less time. I love cooking when I have the time, ie. first thing in the morning, but having it ready when they’re hungry, ie. 8 hours later!

This appears to be an excellent product that I would allow me to prepare cleaner foods for my family and reduce the number of small appliances used. Love it!

  261. Just ordered a new slow cooker but still need another so this is perfect! Thanks for the offer!

  262. Would love to win this for my family. Sounds like an awesome product for fresh healthy food. Thanks for the chance.

  263. I am so excited about this. I have been hearing about it lately. I have two small boys (1 and 5) with multiple food allergies. I am a special educator in private practice and work with children who cannot qualify for services either in the public school system or through their medical insurance (which is a large population of kids). I have found that kids who don’t change their diets don’t get better. I do some public speaking to help educate families about learning problems and their link to environmental toxins and diet. The biggest reason families don’t change their diet is time. The VitaClay looks like it would be a good way for families (myself and others) to cut out toxins and decrease their cooking time while improving their diets!

  264. I would love this cooker. I had to leave all my household goods when I moved here and haven’t been able to replave the rice cooker, crockpot, etc. This would be so much healthier and convenient than all the other appliances. I have never won but hoping this is my lucky day.

  265. Ashley Humphries says:

I’ve been wanting to purchase a slow cooker recently and this sounds like my perfect match: it’s versatile, toxin-free, it cooks better than other slow-cookers, doesn’t require as much time to cook. What’s not to love? I’ll be recommending VitaClay to everyone.

  266. Looks great !!!!’

  267. Linda Williams says:

This is nothing short of AWESOME! I really wanted something to cook rice in that I didn’t have to watch. I can cook rice in a pot on the stove only when I am right there cooking other things. I am so excited about the VitaClay that if I don’t win I will buy one down the road. What a fantastic appliance for the kitchen, thanks for sharing this with all your followers.

  268. I think that the rice cooking function is fantastic…love my rice cooker, but hate the ‘teflon’. And that this doubles as a slow cooker (and I really need one) makes it the best of both worlds!

  269. Looks great!!! Awesome giveaway.

  270. Did not know about this! I love my slow cooker but I didn’t know about the toxins. Would be very cool to have a clay one. Trying to cook healthier for me (pregnant with #4) and my family.

  274. I have wanted one of these. I love the idea of cooking chemical free!

  275. Knowing what I’m feeding my family!

  276. Angie Davidson says:

One of the main things that we want to do this year is eliminate toxins and GMOs, as my son is bipolar and my husband has hemicrania continua. We want to make sure that we’re not eating all of the crap that is out there and as naturally as possible, so this giveaway is truly exciting!

The idea of having all these cookware items in one ‘machine’–is good.
As convenient and space-saving as it would be, I would not BUY one, UNLESS…
it had a SAFE inside-container to cook items in. Rice Cookers & yogurt makers
usually are aluminum-coated on the inside…so are ice cream makers, for that matter.
But the creators of THIS item have done their homework, and KNOW what we are REALLY
    looking for: Convenience & Safety
To think…I could get rid of all those machines and feel safer about eating from
this VITACLAY SMART ORGANIC MULTICOOKER…I would have to tell everyone!!!

  408. Our family is working on improving our health by trying to cook as much organically as possible. It concerns me that while we pay extra for toxin free food I may be adding some into that clean food while I cook it from my appliances. It would be great to have a rice cooker that didn’t do this. My current one is more than 15 years old and plastic 🙁

  409. I have not heard of this product before. It looks like it would fit right in to my family’s kitchen just great and get used a lot!

This world is full of toxins in just the air alone anymore (I was a smog baby so I know how detrimental toxic air can be) but at home, I can make sure their food is toxin-free and full of the right nutrition to help them fight the toxins they becomes exposed to.
