It’s Time To Share Your Posts

Bloggers, use the linky tool on the bottom of this post to share your best post. Non-bloggers, feel free to add a comment here with any ideas or thoughts you have concerning frugal and/or sustainable living. Every week I will be featuring the most viewed posts so link-up your best ones:)

When linking your posts, there are only a couple simple guidelines I’d like for you to follow:

1. Remain sensitive to the mission of Frugally Sustainable. Frugally Sustainable exists to be a resource for all things frugal and sustainable. Therefore, in order to maintain the integrity of the mission, share your best posts – old or new – on anything pertaining to frugality and/or sustainability.

2. Please link your posts back to our blog hop. Linking back here helps build our little community by sending your readers to all of the other posts shared. Grab the Frugal Days, Sustainable Ways button below by installing the html into your post. Or simply create a text link somewhere:)

What will you share this week? I am so looking forward to your submissions! Remember: My favorite posts will be shared on my facebook page!!!

Here we go!

  1. your backlink requirement is on, but i looks like there is no specified url you want, so it’s not allowing us to share anything (even with a backlink in place), fyi!

  2. You might want to check your linky. Even after adding a backlink to my post it is not letting me link. This tends to happen when the wrong site URL is in the linky tool. Would love to get this up before bed time. Thanks! Love the party.

  3. Thanks for hosting and for the feature.

I also noticed that the back link requirement wasn’t right. When it came up with what backlink to include it said “None.” So I added a fake link in my post with the word “None” as the link and it worked. Don’t worry, I have the real back link, too. But you may want to fix that. πŸ™‚

Love what everyone brings to this link party!

Today I’ve linked up a homemade mascara tutorial:

  4. The linky is not working for me either…:(

  5. Great idea to include a none link, but it’s not working for me. I’m so frustrated! Been trying to link up for weeks because I love this party but it’s been going up later, and I’ve been asleep and don’t want to enter the next day after 150 entries have gone up. Oh well.

  6. Same problem here — the linky is not working despite a definite link-back and trying the ‘none’ trick. Would like to link up to the best blog hop on the web!

    • Ok, finally got it to work. The key is to write “None” in the space where you would usually put the html link. You can highlight whatever you want in your blog (I just used a period and a parentheses closing) that links to the “None” (without quotations). Strange but it seems to work.

  7. Hi – how are you guys getting your posts up? I’ve been trying to and the backlink is blocking me each time. Thanks for your help!

  8. Your backlink option is messed up. I have added multiple backlinks on my posts but I still can’t share my link ups

  9. Thank you everyone for the help on the linkback! I tried for an hour to post and couldn’t then it dawned on my that maybe others were having issues too, and looked at the comments. The None thing worked for me! Thank you so much for figuring that out!!

  10. Thanks Nancy that worked! I had sent a message about this issue months ago but never got a response. The code in the button def. has something wrong, and it won’t pick up a back link properly. Never had this much trouble getting a link to work. Hopefully this will get corrected asap, as we all love Frugally Sustainable!

  11. FYI πŸ™‚ Can’t get the linky to work either even though I have a back link. Above suggestions didn’t work…

  12. I got it to work a little differently from others. My blog is hosted on blogspot so the steps I had to take were to go to my post, select edit, in the tool bar where link is underlined, I inserted “None” in the field where it asks for “text to display”. In the field that ask for the web address, I copied in frugally sustainable url. Then when I linked up the linky tool looked for the word None in my blog post and approved it.

  13. Thanks Nancy! Super helpful – I finally got it. Thought something was going batty with my computer!

  14. Thanks so much for hosting! Today I am sharing some of my favorite sweet treats! A healthier caramel apple, caramel corn made without refined sugars or HFCS, and a viewers recipe contest and pumpkin cheesecake! Have a great week!

  15. Thank you for featuring my post this week! πŸ™‚ I can’t figure out the new form, so I can’t link up this week – still, I appreciate you sharing my laundry detergent post with your readers. Have a great week!

ps – the rabbit stew you posted the other day looked fabulous!

  16. i’m excited to see what everyone else is sharing this week! nothing like finding new like-minded bloggers πŸ™‚

this week i’ve shared a recipe you can use the last of your tomato crop in – margarita pizza! of course, tequila is invited to the party too… obviously. πŸ˜‰

p.s. there are still a few more hours to share your seasonal & real/whole food posts with the linky party I host – the Wednesday Fresh Foods Blog Hop – I hope to see you there!

  17. Yay, it got fixed and I can post now! πŸ™‚ It seems that after the first day or so, people don’t like to post because there are too many posts then? At least one or two people said that, I think. I’m kinda new, but do people really stop reading the blog hop so quickly? Guess I’ll wait for a second one til next week then. Thanks so much for hosting! πŸ™‚

  18. I shared a post about using natural oils for skin care – meadowfoam seed oil, jojoba, and hemp seed oil. Thanks for hosting!

  19. Hi!
Thanks for letting me share my own recipe of tasty and delicious
    Essentially Healthy Lemon Bars!
